Traveling During COVID-19!

How to Travel Safely with Your Health and Others’ in Mind...

Wear a mask!

If you’re traveling in public, such as by plane, train, or bus, keeping your nose and mouth covered reportedly reduces your chances of getting infected by an airborne illness. This method of preventing transmission will also protect other travelers if you happen to be an asymptomatic carrier of a virus!

Be in the know!

The most important first step to our latest version of modern travel is knowing if you can travel at all! Stay up to date on travel restrictions and requirements in your area. Looking into the rates of infection in both your area and your destination can help you make an informed decision on whether or not traveling there is safe for yourself, those you travel with, and whoever you’re going to return to once your trip has ended.

No Touching!

One of the most important travel tips is to avoid touching your face, especially your nose, eyes, and mouth. Opt for glasses instead of contacts or consider not wearing makeup to avoid the temptation to touch your eyes when those false lashes tickle your lids.

Keep it clean!

Hand washing is touted as one of the best defenses against the spread of infectious diseases. When touching high-contact surfaces in public, it’s important to wash your hands whenever possible. Using a hand sanitizer with a high alcohol content is a great way to keep your hands clean until you can find a sink with warm water and antibacterial soap.

Happy & Safe Travels!
